Goa River Marathon 2016 to he held on Dec 11

The 7th edition of Goa River Marathon, organised by NEB sports in association with Vasco Sports Club, will be held on December 11 from Chicalim SAG ground in Vasco.
Nitin Bandekar, president of Vasco Sports club said this year's response has been overwhelming with over 6,000 participants across various categories.
Goa River Marathon has runs catering to all kinds of runners, Marathon and Half Marathon routes for long distance marathoners, 10K route for short distance runners and a 5K route for everyone who would want to have some fun.
The total prize money is Rs 7 lakh spread across various categories and we are happy to partner with NGOs- Ashadeep, Muskaan and Cooj for the 5K Fun walk/run,' said Bandekar.

"Shipa Shetty is the brand ambassador and will flag off the races," he added.
