Rona, who was accompanied by the Bridge Federation India President N R K Moorthy, Vice President Prasad V Keni and other BFI and Goa Bridge Association (GBA) officials, thoroughly inspected the infrastructure.
He said he was impressed with the arrangements and would now recommend the issue to the Technical Commission of WBF.
Rona said after the World Championship to be held in Bali, Indonesia later this year, the Technical Commission would visit Goa and give its final report to the World body.
Rona said when he first visited India he was surprised to see so much enthusiasm in the country and this time he was further impressed with the growth in this region.

Rona said WBF was taking various measures to popularise the mind game in different corners of the world, specially among the youth generation.
Various BFI officials from different states of India and officials of the GBA also had a meeting with Rona and discussed various issues about hosting the meet in Goa.
"When finally allotted BFI as well as GBA would be able to rise to the occasion", Keni said.
Rona along with BFI and GBA officials is scheduled to meet Chief Minister and Sports Minister of Goa later in the day.
