"The thrust would be given to promote Goa as a destination for exhibitions and fairs. This will boost the tourism sector in the state which has been growing every passing year," Ajgaonkar said after inaugurating the 31st edition of Food Hospitality World Exposition near here today.
"It will be the endeavourof the Governmentof Goa through the Departmentof Tourismtoprovide the right infrastructure forMeetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) tourismwhereinmegaexhibitions and fairs of national and international repute are held," said the minister.
The exposition is being held from June 1-3 near Panaji which will feature over 5,000 product categories and witness participation of over 300 international brands, alongside more than 7,000 industry professionals.
