GoAir plane hit by bird at city airport

A GoAir Kolkata-Guwahati flight, with about 164 passengers onboard, was hit by a bird during take-off at the N S C Bose International airport here today.
A senior airport official said, the Guwahati-bound aircraft was proceeding from the taxi bay to the runway when a small bird hit the engine.
As the pilot informed the ATC, it touched down and the air passengers disembarked, the official said.
The plane left after necessary repairs and the passengers were accommodated in Guwahati-bound flights.
