GOC-in-C Eastern Command reviews security in Nagaland

The General Officer Commanding (GOC-in-C) in-charge Eastern Command, Lt Gen M M S Rai, AVSM, VSM today reviewed the security situation of Nagaland, Assam Rifles PRO said.
Arriving on a two-day visit to the state capital here today, the GOC-in-C reviewed the security situation and also called on state Governor Dr Ashwani Kumar, it said.
During his meeting with the Governor, Lt Gen Rai discussed steps being taken by the security forces to further consolidate the security situation in Nagaland, the PRO said.
The General Officer also had wide ranging discussions with the Governor to include the development projects being undertaken by the Security Forces in the state.
Meanwhile, the Governor conveyed his appreciation to the GOC-in-C and GOC 3 Corps for the outstanding performance and contribution of the Assam Rifles towards maintaining peace and tranquility in Nagaland.
