Godavari 'pushkaram' related work to be completed by July 5

Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana said here today that all Godavari 'pushkaram' related works will be completed by July 5.
The 12-day 'pushkaram' event which is conducted along the banks of the river Godavari, is a religious bathing and temple worship ritual, scheduled to commence from July 14.
He said that 95 per cent of work has been completed and remaining work would be completed in two days.
Narayana, along with Rajahmundry city mayor P Rajani Seshasai inspected the the work completed so far.
He also visited beautification and modernisation works which are on in Lala Cheruvu, central prison and Korukonda Market Yard Road.

Meanwhile, Rajahmundry sub-collector V Vijayarama Raju appealed to hoteliers today, to maintain cleanliness and supply hygienic products to pilgrims during a meeting held with them.
