The company had reported a net profit of Rs 38.44 crore in the October-December quarter a year ago.
Its total revenue from operations stood at Rs 612.24 crore during the quarter under review. It was at Rs 1,090.65 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, Godfrey Phillips said in a BSE filing.
The company said, revenue from operations for the current period are not comparable with the corresponding earlier period consequent to the implementation of GST, which has subsumed excise duty and other input taxes.
