Gargi, who wowed the audiences as a beleagured mom in blockbuster 'Ramdhanu' on children's admission racket, said "From the heroine in Kaushikda's Khad to this one, I think an actress can don many masks and look her part in each one."
Describing Dev as an intelligent actor, Gargi gushed, "Dev looks as much beautiful as any young woman. And being a mainstream film hero to shift genre is not easy as masala films demand a new discipline."
Aniruddha, who described the four women characters Tanusree Chakraborty, Sudipta Chakraborty and method-actor-mentor Sohag Sen besides Gargi as his muses at the Rendezvous said female characters serve an important purpose.

"Being tech savvy, cinema savvy and well versed with all schools of acting, Dev and Srabonti took to method acting like fish to water at the workshop along with others in cast," Sohag Sen, having been part of numerous film workshops of small time and seasoned directors including Aparna Sen and late Rituparna Ghosh, said.
"It also happened since I didnot see Rangbaaz or Paglu or any other masala flick you are referring to and didnot have any hang-ups," she said.
