Chairman Adi Godrej today called on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and praised the NDA government for taking a slew of measures to woo private investment to the state.
The state government has developed basic infrastructure and came out with Industrial Promotion Policy, 2011 - a measure that will bring in private investment for industrial development in Bihar, Godrej told the chief minister.
According to official sources, Godrej said Bihar has immense potential for development in agro-based industries and tourism sectors and CII would impress upon the corporate houses to invest in Bihar.
He said the state's law and order situation, basic infrastructure development and sustained high growth in Bihar during NDA rule had impressed him.
Kumar sought his help to bring in private investment in the state as the ''state government has created a right ambience for industrial development,'' the sources added.
