The 35-year-old designer said he preferred telling a story through his creations.
"Fashion is about nowness. I do not believe in following trends. Especially, if you are going for something like Paris Fashion Week and you go with trends, it is a sheer waste of the opportunity.
"I feel for the garment to qualify as the really good fashion item it should be backed with a great story," he said.
"Fashion just cannot survive on one thing, it has to have various approach, any garment will not survive just based on embroidery or good cut or good textile.
