Gold bar seized from Thai Airways plane

A gold bar valued at Rs 1.1 crore was recovered from the toilet of a Thai Airways plane which arrived here from Bangkok this morning.
The gold bar, weighing four kg and wrapped with paper, was stuck in a waste bin with adhesives, airport customs officials said.
In another case, Ashok Adhikari of Nepal was intercepted on his arrival from Bangkok yesterday and three kg of gold valued at Rs 81.6 lakh was recovered from his possession.
The gold was concealed in a waist band worn by the person and he has been arrested, they said.
