Gold bars worth Rs 12 lakh seized

Four gold biscuits with foreign markings valuing worth Rs 12 lakh were seized from the footwear of an air passenger who arrived here from Singapore, customs officials said.
The man had arrived here by an Air Asia flight from Singapore at 11 PM last night, they said.
The officials on suspicion subjected his baggage to a thorough check. He was questioned and the four gold biscuits, totally weighing 400 grams concealed in his shoes were seized, they said.
