Gold bars worth Rs 18 lakh seized at Hyd airport
Press Trust of India Hyderabad Customs officials seized 700 grams of gold bars, worth Rs 18 lakh from a woman passenger at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad here which she was allegedly trying to smuggle.
The woman passenger, who had arrived at the airport last night from a Dubai flight had concealed six gold bars in her burqa in order to smuggle them, a Customs officer said.
"During questioning, the gold bars were seized. She was later let off," the officer said.
