Gold for delivery in February rose by Rs 139, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 27,309 per 10 grams, in a business turnover of 314 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in far-month April was also trading higher by Rs 119, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 27,213 per 10 grams in two lots.
Analysts said speculators' widening their bets, tracking a firming global trend, mainly supported the upside in gold prices at futures trade here.
