Gold futures were up 0.11% to Rs 28,930 per ten grams as traders raised bets amid positive cues from the global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in April rose by Rs 31 or 0.11% to Rs 28,930 per ten grams in a business turnover of 1,191 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in far-month June traded higher by Rs 24 or 0.08% to Rs 29,190 per ten grams in 63 lots.
Meanwhile, gold was trading 0.46% higher at $1,205.80 an ounce in Singapore.
