The passengers were allegedly trying to smuggle the yellow metal, they said.
The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) seized four gold chains and six gold 'kadas', all weighing 1,506 grams and valued at Rs 45 lakh, from the three passengers who arrived from Kuala Lumpur and Dubai by two flights in the early hours, said a Customs official.
The trio had concealed the gold in their bodies, he said, adding further investigation was underway.
