At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in far-month April moved up by Rs 95, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 30,061 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 131 lots.
The metal for delivery in February was trading higher by Rs 67, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 30,184 per 10 grams in a turnover of 12 lots.
Analysts said widening of bets by participants pushed up gold prices in futures market there but weak cues from global markets, restricted the gains.
