Gold slips on stockist selling amid weak global cues

Snapping a three-session rally, gold prices declined at the domestic bullion market here on fresh selling by stockists and jewellery traders in the face sluggish overseas sentiment.
Silver also dropped on the back of reduced industrial demand.
Standard gold (99.5 purity) slumped by Rs 105 to finish at Rs 26,550 per 10 grams from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 26,655.
Pure gold (99.9 purity) also fell by a similar margin to settle at Rs 26,700 per 10 grams compared to Rs 26,805.
Silver (.999 fineness) moved down by Rs 150 a kg to end at Rs 35,295 against Tuesday's level of Rs 35,445.

In worldwide trade, the yellow-metal weakened slightly ahead of the much-awaited US employment data amid continued hawkish comments from the Fed.
Spot gold was lower at 1,138.10 an ounce in early European trade, while silver quoted little changed at USD 14.49 an ounce.
