Gold worth Rs 16 lakh seized at Kochi airport

Two undeclared rhodium plated gold wires, weighing 600 grams and valued at Rs 16 lakh, were seized from a passenger who arrived at the airport here from Sharjah today.
The passenger hailing from Mangaluru had kept concealed in the form of beadings inside his trolley bag, customs sources said.
The passenger was acting as a carrier for monetary benefit, the sources said.
