Golf Foundation launches its championship

The Golf Foundation today announced the launch of its inaugural YES BANK Invitational golf championship, an event which will seek to raise funds for young and under-privileged golfers.
The event will undertake various activities, including organising a tournament, auction of golf memorabilia, etc.
Among the activities, the Foundation will be conducting its inaugural championship on May 3 at the ITC Classic Golf Resort in Gurgaon.
The tournament is presented by DLF and IL&FS and is supported by the Gary Player Foundation, set up by the nine-time Major winner, Gary Player.
This will be followed by a glittering prize distribution dinner at the Le Meridien. Some top Bollywood actors such as Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff are expected to be present on the occasion.

Speaking about the initiative, Amit Luthra-Founder CEO, Asian Games Gold Medalist & Arjun Awardee said, "You have got to be bold to get the gold. That's what the Foundation inculcates and that's exactly what our boys are exhibiting.
