Four bogies of a goods train
derailed at Burdwan station today but did not affect the running of trains.
"Four bogies of a goods train on the down line at platform number 6 of Burdwan Station was derailed at around 9.30am," Eastern Rail CPRO RN Mahapatro told PTI.
Train services were, however, unaffected and the chord line that connects Howrah to Burdwan was used for the passage of few trains, he added.
The four bogies were put on track within half-an-hour by 10 a m, Mahapatra said.
