"We had submitted our demands to the central government requesting for withdrawing the proposed 50 per cent hike in third party insurance premium and fines proposed in the 2016 MV amended Act," All India Confederation of Goods Vehicle Owners' Associations (ACOGOA) said in a statement.
Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways Pon Radhakrishnan on March 28 had called association representatives
assuring "he will write to Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India (IRDAI) to withhold the proposed third party premium", it said.
