AP minister Achen Naidu termed Narasimhan a 'gangireddu' (decorated bull) and said the Governor should act impartially with regard to the implementation of section 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014.
Under this section, the Governor has a special responsibility for the security of life, liberty and property of residents of Hyderabad, the common capital for two states.
"Governor says he did not receive any guidelines on section 8 (so he could not implement it). You should not nod your head like a gangireddu to all the decisions taken by the KCR (Telangana) government. You should be impartial to both the states," the minister said at a press conference after the AP cabinet meeting.
The minister also accused the TRS government of tapping phones of AP leaders.
The governments of two states are at loggerheads after A Revanth Reddy, TDP MLA from Telangana, was arrested for allegedly trying to bribe a nominated MLA for supporting TDP candidate in Telangana Legislative Council election on June 1. TDP has accused TRS government of tapping the phones of its leaders and officials.
Reacting to reports that the AP government was withdrawing its police from Telangana, Achen Naidu said as many as 45 platoons of AP police were still serving in the new state.
