Governor prorogues Himachal Assembly

The Himachal Pradesh Assembly, which adjourned sine die on April 10 after the budget session, was prorogued by Governor Kalyan Singh today.
"In exercise of my powers under section 174(2)(a), I prorogue the eighth session of 12th Himachal Vidhan Sabha with immediate effect," a notification issued by Raj Bhawan said.
The Budget session of the assembly commenced on March 11 and concluded on April 10, in which 22 sittings, including two private Members' days, were held.
