West Bengal Governor K N Tripathi today said there is increased realisation on quality of education at school level.
Delivering his address at the 'ASSOCHAM EduMeet 2018' here, Tripathi said, Centre is working on certain focus areas like school curriculum, teachers skill with the intention to develop new ways and "create an eco-system which is self-sustainable and ever evolving."
The Governor said, "There is increased realisation on quality of education at school level with both government and private participation."
Pointing out India had immense potential to be an education hub and attract students and faculties across globe, Tripathi said, "In ancient days we had centres of excellence which attracted foreign learners."
Tripathi said quoting a study that "We have 497 million people in education seeking category within the age of 5-24 years or 37.1 per cent of country's total population."
