The Department of Audio Visual Publicity (DAVP) has sought from the public full-fledged print advertisement creative designs from people on the occasion of 68th Independence Day and promised cash prizes for at least 10 best entries.
Information & Broadcasting ministry officials said that this for the first time that designs for Independence Day ads have been sought from the people.
Shortly after taking charge, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar had said that suggestions and designs for government advertisements would be sought from the general public and winning entries could be given prizes.
The best advertisement design would be published in newspapers across the country on August 15 and will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 15000 along with a letter of appreciation from the I&B Ministry.
The remaining nine shortlisted advertisements will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 3000 along with letters of appreciation.
