Govt announces ex-gratia for Baramulla militancy affected

An ex-gratia amount of Rs 47 lakh was sanctioned today for 19 militancy-affected families of north Kashmir's Baramulla district.
"The District Level screening-cum-consultative committee (DLCC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Magistrate, Baramulla, Yasha Mudgal. The committee sanctioned Rs 47.53 lakh in favour of militancy related victims," an official spokesman said.
He said while Rs 47 lakh was sanctioned as cash compensation to the families of deceased persons, Rs 53,000 was sanctioned for property damage cases.
The DLCC also announced employment on compassionate grounds to the next of kin of a deceased person, the spokesman said, adding 19 such cases were settled on the spot.
