The meeting comes a few hours after the Urban Development Department issued notices to commissioners of all the three municipal corporations to inform the government about the steps being taken to prevent spread of dengue.
"In today's meeting, all the three mayors briefed the health minister about steps being taken by the civic bodies to prevent the spread of dengue.
In the meeting, all the three mayors have also apprised the ministers of the steps to prevent mosquito breeding.
According to South Delhi Mayor Subhash Arya, the government has asked hospitals to share dengue cases-related information with the civic agencies at the earliest.
"We get late information from hospitals in dengue cases, including death incidents, like in the case of Avinash. So, we requested that the information may be shared at the earliest. And, the government has also conveyed the same to the hospitals," Arya said.
