"As the university is under review of the cabinet sub-committee the fresh admission process for various courses for the academic session 2015-16 is banned until the next orders," a letter dated July 3 addressed to the University's VC by the Joint Secretary of Higher Education said.
When contacted the University Vice Chancellor Sunny Sebastian today said the admission process for the new academic year had begun over 36 days ago and an unexpected order to stop admission process was very unfortunate.
The University was set up here in 2012 by then Congress government when Ashok Gehlot was Chief Minister.
When the BJP government led by Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje took power in December 2013 it formed a committee to review the decisions taken by the Gehlot-government in last six months of its tenure.

The VC said the varsity was established in 2012, over a year before the BJP government took power.
The issue of the University's review by the cabinet sub-committee was also echoed in the Assembly in April this year.
Recently, Rajasthan government also issued an order banning new admissions in the Jodhpur National University which had awarded more than 25,000 fake degrees to students.
