Rajasthan Congress president Sachin Pilot today hit out at the state government for compromising the interests of farmers, labourers and unemployed youths, saying Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje did not listen to the plight of the people in the past four years.
"The BJP has betrayed the people of the state and compromised their interests in the past four years of its dispensation. People do not want to meet Raje as the real face of the BJP has now been exposed," Pilot said at public gatherings in Banswara and Dungarpur districts during "Mera Booth, Mera Gaurav" event today.
"The chief minister did not listen to the plight of the people in the past four years and is now trying to establish dialogue with the people of the state in the election year," he said.
Pilot said farmers have resorted to protests because of the ill-treatment meted out to them by the state government.
The Congress leader alleged that farmers were forced to take the extreme step as the government failed to address their issues and BJP leaders were "rubbing salt into the wounds of the farmers by making off-the-cuff comments."
