Govt considering U'khand as closed issue: Naqvi
Press Trust of India New Delhi Government is treating the political situation in Uttarakhand as a "closed issue" after Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat won the trust vote a few days back.
"That is a closed issue now after the decision of the Supreme Court," Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said today while briefing mediapersons on the last day of the budget session after Rajya Sabha was adjourned sine die.
He was responding to a question on how far government's decision to impose President's Rule in Uttarakhand was responsible for disruptions in Parliament in the budget session.
Naqvi also put the blame on Congress for the political row in the hill state.
"Whatever controversy happened in Uttarakhand was not due to us. It happened as some Congress members turned rebel and the government of the day there be coming minority. Though they (Congress) did not muster the numbers (they previously had), certain situations helped them," the Union Minister said.
