Govt doctor arrested for taking bribe

A government doctor was today arrested for allegedly taking bribe for issuing medical certificate to a patient in the district today.
Orthopedician Amar Chand Mawar, posted with general hospital of Alwar, had demanded Rs 3,000 one Pal Singh to issue medical certificate to his disabled sister.
He agreed to accept Rs 2,500, Additional Superintendent of Police (ACB) Piyush Dixit, said.
After verification of the complaint, a trap was laid by the anti-corruption department and the doctor was held while accepting the money in his chamber in the hospital today.
