Rajasthan government today asked its doctors that they should compulsorily put up a consultation fee chart outside their residences or clinics from where they are practising medicine and attending patients.
State health minister Rajendra Rathore said that principals of all medical colleges were directed that they should ask doctors, practising medicine privately at clinics or their residences, to install a board showing a consultation fee chart.
He further said that the government houses allocated to doctors and medical teachers should be used by them and and they should not sublet it to others, according to an official spokesman here.
Doctors and medical teachers should also furnish a certificate to the state government about their stay in the allocated government housings in the state, Rathore said.
In Rajasthan, there is an option for doctors to either opt for non-practicing allowance from the government or privately practice on the authorised consultation fee.
