Govt employee among 4 booked for corruption

Jammu and Kashmir State Vigilance Organisation (SVO) today registered a case against four persons, including a government employee, for alleged fraud and causing a loss of about Rs 50 lakh to the state exchequer.
"A case has been registered against the then Collector Land Acquisition Pulwama (in south Kashmir), Mohamamd Rajab Bhat and owners of three brick kilns -- Bismillah Brick Kiln, Mehboob Brick Kiln and Gousia Brick Kiln (beneficiaries)-- for fraud," a SVO official said.
Allegation of corruption was levelled into disbursement of compensation in favour of non genuine claimants by officers/officials of Revenue Department, Pulwama, he said.
