The appeals will be considered tomorrow by a division bench comprising Justice Antony Dominique and Justice Sheshadri Naidu. The bench directed posting of all the writ petitions in the plus two matter before it.
The appeals were filed in compliance with the court's August 22 order directing it to file separate appeals in all the 85 petitions on which the single judge had given the interim order.
The government had earlier filed two combined appeals challenging the single judge's interim order stating that the main relief itself had been granted without issuing notices and hearing the parties.
Justice P R Ramachandra Menon while admitting 85 petitions on Aug 18 had directed that only schools recommended by six-member expert committee, which had received approval of Higher Secondary Education Director, can be given sanction to start plus two courses and additional batches this year.
The court also made it clear that certain schools recommended by the said committee, which had failed to get the director's approval, shall be given provisional sanction to function forthwith, subject to conditions stipulated in the government order of July 31 this year.
