The government has finalised the names of three people who will take over as members of fair trade watchdog CCI in the coming weeks.
The Competition Commission of India, which keeps a tab on unfair trade practices in the market place, comes under the administrative control of the Corporate Affairs Ministry.
Sources said names of three people for the posts of CCI members have been finalised by the Ministry and they are expected to take charge in the coming weeks.
Among the three persons finalised, one is an ex-IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer and another a former IES (Indian Economic Service) officer, sources added.
The names, however, could not be confirmed.
Two posts of CCI members are vacant, while member Geeta Gouri superannuates in April.
