Shinde, who made identical statements on Hyderabad blast in both Houses and replied to clarifications, said the intelligence inputs were shared with Police Chiefs of these cities but maintained that there was no specific information.
"We had given specific information to five cities including Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore. Nonetheless, this incident happened in Hyderabad," he said in the Rajya Sabha.
The minister said alerts were sent to states thrice after the execution of Mumbai attack convict Azmal Kasab and Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.
"Today I have got some information. If we share it in the House, it will be harmful," Shinde said, adding efforts were on to nab the culprits.
On concern expressed by some members about poor coordination between Centre and state intelligence, Shinde said, "Everyday we coordinate. Whatever information we get, we share that with states. We are doing it 24/7. We are operating closely with states."
