Govt holds national workshop on 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'

Union Culture Ministry in collaboration with NITI Aayog today organised a national workshop on 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' programme that seeks to boost the existing cultural connect among different parts of the country.
"The programme will celebrate the cultural vibrancy of India while establishing a concrete mechanism to inculcate nationalism and cultural awareness among the fellow citizens of our nation," Culture Minister Mahesh Sharma said.
During 'Rashtriya Ekta Divas' address on October 31 last, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the proposal to launch this programme to also enhance interaction between people living in various states.
NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant, Culture Secretary N K Sinha, and Public Policy Research Centre Director Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, among other officials, were present on the occasion.
"N K Sinha discussed in details, overview and objectives of the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' programme, areas of interaction and an implementation mechanism to attain these objectives," an official statement said.
