Govt invites proposals for study in thermal,hydro-power sector
Press Trust of India New Delhi Government today invited proposals from consultants for conducting a benchmark study in the thermal and hydro-power sector in order to improve the productivity, profitability, operational efficiency and future growth prospects of CPSEs in the sector.
The appropriate benchmarks from the study will be recommended for inclusion in the MoU 2016-17, the Department of Public Enterprises said.
The scope of work of the consultants conducting the study will include identification of common key performance indicators and benchmarks used by both national as well as international thermal and hydro-power industry.
It will entail study of the performance of Indian thermal and hydro-power industry (private as well as public sector enterprises), analysis of previous year's achievement.
The scope of work will also include suggesting benchmarks alongwith the realistic value/level of benchmark which can be achieved by the select thermal and hydro-power sector CPSEs, among other things.
