The South Delhi Mayor Subhash Arya said that growing pollution is every one's concern and the municipal corporations will only extend their help without causing any hindrance in implementation of the decisions.
He, however, said "if the Delhi Government shuts down any parking lot it should compensate the revenue loss or provide alternative parking facility."
The measures announced by the government included shutting down MCD parking lots on the roads that are responsible for slowing down traffic movement.
Developing greenery on the central verge of roads and uncovered roadsides to check dust pollution has also been decided by the government which was welcomed by the Mayors.

"There is division of work and responsibilities of agencies are specified. All the roads wider than 60 feet are maintained by PWD they are responsible for its upkeep," Malhotra said.
With regard to government decision about modifying the recently launched Swachh Delhi app and use it for receiving complaints of burning of biomass and garbage, Malhotra said that the government need to have the proper infrastructure in place to implement this decision.
