Govt nominates 3 members into RBI's Central Board

Reserve Bank today said Government has nominated three members on its Central Board.
"The Central Government has nominated Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Bharat Narotam Doshi and Sudhir Mankad as directors on the Central Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank," it said in a notification.
The nominations are for a period of four years with effect from March 4, 2016 or until further orders, whichever is earlier, it added.
The Reserve Bank's affairs are governed by the Central Board of Directors.
The full-time official directors of the Central Board are the Governor and four Deputy Governors.
The appointed or nominated directors serve a period of four years. There are ten non-official directors from various fields and two government official from the Finance Ministry on the Board who are nominated by the Government.
Besides, there are four directors to represent local boards headquartered at Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and New Delhi.
