"Large number of illegal migrants are intruding into India but the government is not serious and compromising with national security," BJP MP Anurag Singh Thakur told a gathering of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha activists.
He criticised the Centre and Assam governments for delayed response to the violence in the state.
"The government of Assam held responsible the Centre for not sending them help. This is the situation when the Congress is ruling both at the Centre and the state," the national president of BJYM said.
He said corruption is rampant and prices were hiked manifold in the UPA regime
Thakur led a rally to civil lines railway crossing from the BJP state headquarters against the Congress rule.
It was the first rally of BJYM's nationwide campaign 'Gaddi Chhoro (relinquish power)' under which 150 rallies are scheduled to be held across the nation in one month.
