Govt officer found guilty by Committee of Privileges

Jharkhand Assembly today gave assent to punishment recommended by the Committee of Privileges against a senior government officer, finding him guilty of offending an RJD MLA in 2011.
Placing the findings of the report in the House, Speaker Shashank Sekhar Bhokta said the Committee found the then Deputy Development Commissioner Dilip Kumar Jha guilty of misbehaviour and using unparliamentary words at RJD MLA Sanjay Prasad Yadav.
The recommendation of punishment by the Committee on three counts are: the offence will be mentioned in the officer's service record, he will not be posted in any district, and one increment in salary will be stopped, the Speaker said quoting from the report.
Later, the House accepted the report through voice vote.
