Treatment plants are being set up at various points along the river where sewerage is released, he told reporters here.
"Such plants have already been set up in Delhi and Faridabad and would soon be set up at other places as well," Khattar said.
The chief minister also said that the Haryana government was working towards development of all holy places and tourist spots along the Saraswati river.
"A sum of Rs 50 crore has been released for excavation and other works on the banks of the Saraswati river," he said.

"The Kurukshetra Development Board is working on a special project to provide continuous flow of fresh water in the holy Brahma Sarovar here for which funds have already been allocated. Steps would be taken soon to implement the project," he said
"Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture, Mahesh Sharma, is working on conservation of the sacred banyan tree at Jyotisar here, and soon a significant initiative would be taken in this regard," Khattar added.
Meanwhile, on his government's proposal to introduce Bhagwad Gita in school curriculum in the state, Khattar said the modalities were being worked out.
"It would carry out the investigations and submit its report after which action would be taken," he said.
