The Union government has "prematurely" repatriated two senior IPS officers, in the rank of Additional Director General (ADG), to their parent cadre.
"Two Additional Directors General-- Kishore Jha (CRPF) and Somesh Goyal (SSB)-- have been repatriated to their parent cadres of Manipur-Tripura and Himachal Pradesh respectively. The orders have been issued by the Union Home Ministry," official sources said.
While Jha, a 1982-batch officer, was empanelled in the Centre last year and had tenure till 2018, 1984-batch IPS officer Goyal was promoted as ADG in November last year and had at least three more years at the Centre.
Sources said some more similar orders can be expected in the coming days.
