The AAT was set up in March 2010 and earlier this year, the National Highways Tribunal was merged with it.
Applications have been sought for the AAT chairperson's post. The chairperson will receive a fixed monthly pay of Rs 2,50,000 and other allowances as well as benefits, said the circular issued last week.
"The tribunal consists of a chairperson who will adjudicate disputes arising out of eviction of unauthorised occupants on airport premises and right of way and traffic moving on the national highways and also for removal of unauthorised occupation thereon," it said.
In this regard, amendments were made to the AAI Act as well as the National Highways (Land and Traffic) Act.
