In a memorandum submitted to the district collector, Archana Patnaik, AIDWA district president Amutha said four persons, including the maternal uncle of the 13-year-old girl were acquitted for want of evidence.
The verdict would give more room for such crimes in the future and the cuprits will roam freely in the society, the memorandum said.
The court had recently acquitted all the four charged with repeatedly raping the girl for some nine months in 2013, as there was no evidence against them.
