"We are studying it. If it results in adverse impact on Indians, then definitely we will take up the issue (with Saudi authorities)," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay said.
He said the Gulf nation has decided to impose a small levy on those who will be going there to meet expat workers and their family members.
Over 2.96 million Indian nationals are currently working in Saudi Arabia, the largest expatriate community in the country, and the levy is likely to have some impact on them.
