Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya today met the Canadian Minister of Labour and Women Kellie Leitch along with her delegation here.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Canada in April, we apprised her about that. We have also apprised her that in the coming Parliament session, we are going to come with a Bill that is National Workers' Vocational Institute.
Canada is willing to partner with India and is keen to provide technical assistance and convergence to set up the institute, Leitch said.
Among others, the Minister also discussed on labour and employment issues with the Canadian delegation.

"We had discussion about labour and employment issues. India and Canada will mutually work towards some of the organised and also some organised sector," Dattatreya said.
Both the countries will work towards a framework on qualification for workers such as electricians and plumbers, he added.
"Conciliation and mediation is an area where we would like to associate with Canada for capacity building," said the Minister.
