Govt to oragnise 3-day Pharma expo in Bengaluru from Jan 7

The Centre in association with industry chamber FICCI is going to organise a three-day mega event at Bengaluru to promote India as a quality manufacturing hub in the pharmaceuticals and medical devices sector.
The two-day India Pharma and Medical Expo 2016 will begin on January 7. As part of the event, the CEO's forum, buyer and seller meet, structured B2B meetings will also take place.
The event will provide an excellent platform to the participants to promote their products and services and enter into potential business tie-ups, the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers said in an official statement.
"The Department of Pharmaceuticals, in association with FICCI is going to organise India Pharma INDIA PHARMA 2016 & INDIA MEDICAL EXPO 2016 at the Bengaluru International Exhibition & Convention Centre (BIEC) from 7-9 January," the statement added.
The expo will have exhibitors from the pharma formulation, bulk drugs, machinery and technology, medical electronics, medical devices and surgical instruments.
The event will provide a unique platform to industry to meet the prospective partners and connect with the desired business stakeholders.
Besides, EEPC (Engineering Export Promotion Council) and Pharmexcil with the support from Commerce Ministry will also host buyers from Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Vietnam, Nepal, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Tunisia, Indonesia, Malavi, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Cambodia, Ukraine, Kyrgyz Republic, Iraq and Tanzania.
